Job summary

Qualys, Inc. is seeking a Senior Security Engineer – AI/ML to design and deploy GenAI systems and to perform red-teaming against AI threats. You will build and break, mentor engineers, and set the bar for secure-by-design AI.

You will lead multi‑agent pipelines, evaluate models, and collaborate with product and engineering to harden AI features while translating research into production-ready security practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in software engineering, ML, and security research with cloud security focus.
• Strong Python programming for APIs and backend components.
• Experience training ML models with Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch and knowledge of LLM architectures.
• Hands-on with GenAI frameworks and building multi-agent AI workflows.
• Knowledge of GenAI risks and deployment scenarios; security threat awareness.

Responsibilities

• Build GenAI apps and orchestrate agentic AI workflows; secure by design.
• Break and assess security of GenAI/ML systems; red-team and identify threats.
• Collaborate with product/engineering to design secure AI features and publish findings.
