Job summary

LexisNexis Risk Solutions seeks a Sr Statistical Modeler to develop and implement analytics and AI solutions across our risk platforms. You will translate complex problems into scalable machine-learning models and production-ready workflows, collaborating with engineering, product, and platform teams to operationalize insights.

The role requires hands-on modeling, strong communication, and ability to work in a forward‑looking, AI‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Data Science experience; Advanced degree may substitute part of required experience.
• Solid experience applying machine learning and statistical techniques to real-world problems.
• Hands-on experience developing, evaluating, and iterating on predictive models.
• Experience evaluating model performance using statistical/machine learning metrics and validation techniques.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured data at scale.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R with common data science libraries.
• Experience with SQL and cloud-based data platforms.
• Hands-on experience in cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Exposure to LLM-based solutions and retrieval-augmented workflows.
• Experience in software engineering best practices for data science codebases.
• Ability to independently execute complex analysis within defined scope.
• Clear and effective communicator for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Applies statistical, mathematical, predictive modeling, and business analysis skills to manage and manipulate data from diverse sources.
• Develops and maintains data infrastructure connecting internal data sets and creates data collection frameworks.
• Recognized expert within the function and mentors junior staff.
• Interprets business issues and recommends best practices to improve products and processes.
• Works independently with guidance only on the most complex situations.
• Trains/mentors junior staff and serves as an expert to clients.
• Translates analytical insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
