Job summary

Analytica in Bethesda, MD is seeking an experienced MLOps Engineer to automate secure deployment, evaluation, monitoring, and lifecycle management for on-prem AI services supporting federal data analytics initiatives.

You will work with cross-functional teams to build scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality and governance, and enable AI-assisted decision support in secure environments.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience building, integrating, and operating data pipelines for ML, NLP, or analytics.
• Hands-on with feature engineering, embeddings, curated datasets, and reproducible workflows.
• Strong Python and SQL for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data for AI/ML applications.
• Data quality controls, provenance, metadata, versioning, and lineage.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines and transformations.
• Clear technical documentation of pipelines, schemas, and dependencies.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret eligibility; active Top Secret preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ML, NLP, retrieval, and analytics.
• Prepare and validate structured and unstructured data for AI/ML applications.
• Perform feature engineering and dataset preparation for retrieval workflows.
• Develop reproducible data transformations using Python, SQL, and related tech.
• Maintain data quality, provenance, metadata, and source traceability.
• Prepare data for search, RAG, visualization, and AI-assisted decision support.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues across dev and test environments.
• Collaborate with data engineering, data science, software, and AI/ML teams.
• Create technical documentation covering data architectures, pipelines, schemas, and operations.
• Support deployment and operation in secure federal, on-prem, cloud, or hybrid environments.
