Job summary

Nike, Inc. in Beaverton, Oregon, seeks a Software Engineer for AI/ML Platforms to design and implement core data science services and scale the platform to serve Nike globally.

You will work at the intersection of computer systems and machine learning with collaboration across data science, analytics, and product teams. The role focuses on building scalable, reliable AI/ML services for model training, serving, and management, while evaluating new platform capabilities and improving development

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals.
• Five+ years of professional software development experience.
• Experience with Java, Python, or Golang.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and DevOps practices (Terraform).
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure).
• Experience developing and using microservices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledgeable on AI/ML concepts (ML Serving/Training, GenAI, RAG, A/B testing).
• Platform experience: Authentication, CI/CD, Observability.
• Experience with Big Data technologies (Spark).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of data science services and platform.
• Scale the platform to Nike globally.
• Collaborate with data science and analytics teams to ship scalable, reliable solutions.
• Develop services enabling model training, serving and management.
• Evaluate new AI/ML platform services and capabilities for long-term use.
• Advance development practices via architecture and code reviews.
