Job summary

Mercury is seeking a Senior Model Risk Manager – AI/ML to define and enhance model governance for AI/ML. This role involves owning the validation and governance of Mercury’s AI/ML model portfolio, contributing to the evolution of model risk management in fintech.

The ideal candidate will work closely with data scientists, engineers, and compliance teams to set standards for rigorous model risk management. Strong experience in Python and SQL is essential, alongside a Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of hands-on experience developing or validating AI/ML models.
• Strong foundations in Python, SQL, and modern ML tooling.
• Experience in evaluating machine learning models and generative AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Define the model governance for AI/ML at Mercury.
• Own validation, monitoring, and governance of the AI/ML model portfolio.
• Assess risks in LLM-powered applications and modernize MRM function.
