Talanto seeks a Lead Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in the United States. You will guide cross-functional pods including contractors and internal engineers, establishing standards and driving production-ready AI/ML solutions.

The role requires 8+ years engineering experience with 3+ years in leading teams shipping AI/ML or LLM systems. A flat, fast, player-coach culture is valued for rapid delivery and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years engineering experience
• 3+ years managing engineers who ship AI/ML or LLM systems in production
• Hands-on review of agent architectures, prompts, and eval suites

Responsibilities

• Manage engineers across central platform team and pods (contractors + internal)
• Own engineering standards: code quality, review practices, definition of done, production readiness
• Own contractor performance and the conversion pipeline with sourcing partner
• Partner with platform lead on templates, pipeline, evals; ensure consistency across pods
• Unblock delivery daily; keep pods shipping without becoming a gatekeeper
