Job summary

Atlas Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Applied AI/ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy advanced AI/ML solutions across mission, operational, and business problems.

This role blends deep technical expertise with practical, hands-on engineering, building AI-enabled applications, deploying them into production systems, and collaborating with product teams. You will lead solution architectures, select models and frameworks, develop experiments, and translate complex concepts into working

Qualifications

• Degree in CS/ML/DS or related field.
• 3+ years in applied AI/ML with production deployments.
• Experience with LLMs, fine-tuning, RAG, and prompt engineering.
• Experience with vector databases and embeddings.
• LoRA adapters for fine-tuning foundation models.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML tools for generative AI use cases.
• Develop end-to-end ML pipelines with data ingestion, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Implement production-grade inference systems and API/microservice integration.
• Lead experiments, hypotheses, evaluations, and model performance improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering to build robust, secure AI architectures.
• Provide prompt fine-tuning to address hallucination and bias.
• Partner with domain SMEs to translate constraints into features and model requirements.
• Evaluate new AI technologies and foundation models for mission-relevant apps.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal standards.
• Ensure responsible AI, governance, explainability, and ethical use.
• Prepare demos and proof-of-concept integrations.
