Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related quantitative field, or Master’s with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in statistics, computational biology, applied mathematics, or related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience with artificial intelligence and machine learning algorithms.
• Demonstrated experience with and mastery of advanced AI concepts, such as artificial neural networks, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology perspectives on AI affordability and impact for bioinformatics and data engineering applications.
• Refine and formalize ML/AI requirements with stakeholders for complex healthcare problems.
• Provide technical and strategic leadership for design of AI-enabled software solutions.
• Lead implementation and deployment of ML/AI solutions in collaboration with software engineers.
• Establish an Agile framework delivering iterative AI solutions.
• Develop and communicate an AI strategy to accelerate bioinformatics, biostatistics and data science outcomes.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge bases and training resources.
• Engage in cross-functional meetings as subject matter expert on AI/ML.
