Job summary

PitchBook Data, Inc. is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join the AI & ML (Insights) team in Seattle.

You will develop and operationalize NLP, GenAI, and LLM-powered features across the PitchBook Platform, from architecture to deployment, collaborating with engineers, data scientists, and product managers. You will own end-to-end ML systems, ensure performance and security, and contribute to data pipelines using modern tools and cloud-native approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Data Science.
• 6+ years of software or ML engineering experience with AI/ML in insight generation, summarization, search, and prediction.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-impact AI and ML capabilities to drive insight generation on the PitchBook Platform.
• Design, build, and deploy AI/ML models with a focus on NLP, summarization, semantic search, and prediction.
• Mentor peers, contribute to code and design reviews, and promote engineering excellence.
• Build models using classifiers, transformers, LLMs, and NLP techniques and integrate them into the AI/ML infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align models with product goals and data quality standards.
• Explore GenAI, NLP, and search tech; translate research into production-ready solutions.
• Contribute to model transparency, monitoring, and security practices.
