Job summary

PitchBook Data, a Morningstar company, is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer on the AI & ML team to deliver NLP and GenAI features for the PitchBook Platform. You will design and deploy ML models, work with large language models, and collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to align with business goals and AI strategy.

The role emphasizes end-to-end model development, recent GenAI approaches, and scalable pipelines in a fast-paced, data-driven fintech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Math or Data Science.
• 2+ years in software or ML engineering focused on AI/ML.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Deliver AI/ML capabilities for insight generation on PitchBook Platform.
• Design, build and deploy NLP, summarization, semantic search and prediction models.
• Develop scalable, production-grade ML services and architectures.
• Collaborate with product, data scientists and engineers across teams.
• Contribute to model transparency, monitoring, and compliance.
