Job summary

Vantor is seeking a senior AI/ML software engineer to develop and maintain AI-enabled applications with agent-based workflows, focusing on LLM integration and RAG pipelines. You will design scalable architectures, implement REST APIs, and collaborate across full-stack teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in AI/ML, strong Python skills, experience with LLM-based applications, and a solid understanding of data processing and Postgres schema design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Senior Labor Category: 8+ years with Bachelor's; 7+ years with Master's; 6+ years with Doctorate.
• Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Willingness to work onsite full time.
• US citizenship required.
• Proficiency in Python and common data/AI libraries.
• Experience developing AI/ML applications with LLM integration, RAG workflows, or similar retrieval-based capabilities.
• Experience with agent-based programming concepts, AI frameworks, and tool-based LLM application development.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML foundational concepts, including transformers and data processing.
• Experience designing REST APIs for data retrieval/processing.
• Familiarity with production-ready development practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain AI/ML-enabled applications focusing on agent-based workflows and RAG pipelines.
• Design and support agent-based architectures, including orchestration, tool use, and memory management.
• Integrate LLMs into applications using APIs and AI frameworks.
• Develop and maintain Python-based REST APIs to support data retrieval and system integration.
• Support full-stack development of production-ready AI applications.
• Process and transform structured/unstructured data for AI/ML workflows.
• Refine Postgres schemas to improve data organization and scalability.
• Optimize AI-enabled applications for performance and reliability in enterprise environments.
