Job summary

GRVTY is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to design, develop, and deploy ML capabilities for sensor data in support of national security missions. You will implement deep ML models, build end-to-end pipelines, and integrate with existing analytical environments while mentoring junior engineers.

Role requires Top Secret clearance with SCI/CI polygraph eligibility, a strong background in CNNs/transformers, and hands-on production experience using PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI/CI Polygraph acceptable
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Data Science or related field; advanced degree preferred
• 7+ years hands-on ML experience deploying models in operational environments
• Deep knowledge of modern ML architectures (CNNs, transformers, object detection)
• Expert-level Python with PyTorch or TensorFlow in production
• Experience building complete ML pipelines (data prep, labeling, training, eval, deployment)
• Ability to work with domain scientists and translate requirements into ML designs
• Experience mentoring junior developers and setting coding standards
• Strong documentation and communication skills for technical briefings

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ML models for detection, classification, and characterization of events in sensor data with architectural depth beyond off-the-shelf frameworks
• Develop end-to-end ML workflows from data prep to deployment in operational environments
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to understand sensor phenomenology and mission requirements
• Write modular, production-quality Python code with tests and maintainability in mind
• Evaluate model performance against operational metrics, identify edge cases, and iterate
• Integrate ML capabilities into existing pipelines and software environments through deployment
• Mentor junior AI/ML developers, review code, and raise technical standards
• Contribute to trade studies and present technically grounded ML recommendations
• Prepare technical briefings and documentation for customers and program stakeholders
