Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a data science professional to develop advanced AI/ML solutions using complex healthcare data such as EHRs, claims, and financial data.

You will apply statistical methods, machine learning, NLP, and LLMs while partnering with product, technology, clinical, engineering, and business teams to translate complex problems into production-ready solutions. Qualifications

• Relevant degree preferred.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python; R/SAS helpful.
• Experience with ML, statistical methods, and predictive modeling.
• Experience with large language models, NLP, or generative AI.
• Experience integrating AI/ML with APIs and data pipelines.
• Cloud environments like AWS, Azure; Palantir Foundry advantageous.
• Healthcare data analytics experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI/ML and NLP solutions using healthcare data.
• Perform exploratory and predictive analyses across large datasets.
• Apply ML, NLP, and LLM techniques to healthcare problems.
• Design LLM-enabled workflows (RAG, prompts, model evaluation).
• Build production-ready AI/ML workflows and data platforms.
• Translate raw data into standardized analytics-ready assets.
• Integrate LLMs with data pipelines and enterprise apps.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, clinical, and business teams.
• Evaluate data quality and model performance; troubleshoot issues.
• Communicate findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
