Job summary

Elevance Health is seeking a Principal Cloud Engineer – AI/ML to design, build, and operate AI-enabled cloud capabilities across landing zones, CaaS, and FinOps. This hands-on leadership role collaborates with Enterprise AI, InfoSec, and Enterprise Architecture to ensure secure, scalable cloud services.

Expect architecture oversight, production ownership, and mentoring. You will work in a hybrid environment with in-office collaboration 1–2 days weekly and opportunities for flexible arrangements,

Qualifications

• Requires a BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 8+ years in architecture/design.
• Hands-on experience building production cloud platforms and software.
• Strong experience with one or more public clouds and core platform patterns.

Responsibilities

• Deploy AI-enabled capabilities for core Cloud Engineering products with hands-on coding in IaC, APIs, and CI/CD.
• Develop production agents and reusable skills for cloud customer journeys and landing-zone configurations.
• Build and maintain MCP servers, adapters, and services exposing cloud APIs, automation, telemetry, and cost data.
• Advance onboarding and automation to reduce time to first productive deployment.
• Enhance CaaS offerings with AI-assisted capabilities for workload onboarding and observability.
