Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Architect to shape the future of technology in financial services. You will design and govern enterprise-scale AI/ML systems, data pipelines, and platform architectures, guiding decisions across product design, security, and compliance.

Lead AI risk governance, orchestration, and human-in-the-loop strategies while driving secure production code and scalable data engineering practices in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on architecture concepts and 5+ years applied experience in AI/ML, cloud, and data engineering.
• 12+ years of hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience designing and deploying production AI/ML systems, including LLM-based applications, embedding pipelines, vector stores, and agentic architectures with tool use, memory, and multi-step reasoning.
• Experience evaluating model outputs for safety, accuracy, and latency in regulated environments.
• Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
• Deep knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, data engineering and related architectures.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, data lake architectures, and large-scale data processing technologies (e.g., Spark/PySpark, Databricks, Snowflake).
• Experience with microservices, API design, Kafka, Redis, observability tools, and orchestration tools (Airflow, Temporal).
• Ability to integrate AI-enabled capabilities into enterprise-grade architectures with resiliency, security, and auditability.

Responsibilities

• Represent product families in technical governance bodies and advance architecture governance and AI risk management.
• Provide strategic technical guidance to stakeholders, engineering teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Leverage AI/ML capabilities to accelerate architecture analysis, decisioning, and solution delivery with human-in-the-loop validation.
• Guide evaluation and integration of current and emerging technologies for enterprise-grade architectures.
• Drive architectural decisions impacting product design, applications, and operations with AI-enabled patterns.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code for data-intensive and AI-driven apps; review peers' code for best practices.
• Act as SME in data engineering, platform architecture, and AI/ML; contribute to SDLC frameworks.
• Establish reuse-first AI-enabled engineering patterns across the SDLC for traceability and security.
