Job summary

Risepoint is seeking an experienced AI/ML leader to own the intelligence layer that powers student engagement and outcomes across 100+ university partners. You will drive end-to-end initiatives from scoping to production, delivering predictive models that optimize retention, engagement, and enrollment.

You will design next-best-action logic, deploy models with an MLOps stack, and partner with Product, Engineering, and CX.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering measurable consumer and business impact through AI/ML initiatives.
• 5–8+ years in applied ML or data science, preferably in education or consumer tech.
• Strong experience with predictive analytics, recommendations, and experimentation (A/B testing).
• Deep Python and SQL expertise; familiarity with ML libraries and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML initiatives end-to-end across Product, Engineering, CX, and university partner teams.
• Design, manage, and own measurable outcomes from each initiative (retention, engagement, enrollment).
• Develop and productionize next best action logic with cross-functional partners.
• Prototype, test, and deploy models using modern MLOps stacks (Databricks, MLFlow, dbt, Dagster).
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure clean data pipelines and scalable feature stores.
• Translate technical findings into executive-ready narratives for cross-functional alignment.
