Job summary

Renesas Electronics Americas seeks an experienced Senior Staff Application Technology Architect for AI & ML to define, drive, and evolve AI/ML technologies across embedded and edge computing platforms. You will bridge advanced algorithms, sensor analytics, and semiconductor tech while collaborating with product groups and strategic customers.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in AI/ML, advanced analytics, signal processing, computer vision, or intelligent embedded systems.
• Proven track record in AI architecture, principal AI engineering, or equivalent leadership role.

Responsibilities

• Define and own AI/ML architectures for embedded systems, edge computing, and cloud-connected platforms.
• Translate customer needs and market trends into AI solution roadmaps.
• Lead development of reusable AI frameworks, inference pipelines, and deployment methods.
• Evaluate and adopt ML/DL technologies including foundation models and agentic AI.
• Collaborate with product groups, software teams, and research partners to integrate AI capabilities.
• Provide mentoring and technical leadership across engineering teams.
