Job summary

TikTok is seeking a Senior / Team Lead Research Engineer for AI/LLM/HPC Networking in Seattle. You will design, implement, and deploy high-speed network technologies to support AI/LLM applications, and lead a team focused on scalable infrastructure.

The role requires a strong background in computer networks and programming, with experience in C/C++, Python, and Go, plus familiarity with NCCL/MPI. You will drive research on AI network optimization and collaborate across hardware and software to

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS/EE or related fields.
Proficiency in computer networks and network programming.
Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Go.
Familiar with high-speed network systems: RDMA, congestion control, AI network optimization.
Experience with NCCL, MPI, RPC libraries is a plus.
Experience developing AI network diagnosis and performance optimization software is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, implementation and deployment of high-speed network technologies to support AI/LLM applications.
Design and development of platforms/systems for monitoring, analysis and diagnosis of large scale AI/LLM network.
Research and development of high-performance AI communication framework, network protocol stacks, and codesign optimization of host-network-application to improve the scalability, reliability and performance of AI/LLM network.
Building next generation AI network infrastructure supporting large scale heterogeneous network hardware with innovative and deployable solutions.
