Job summary

Censys is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the SOC/TH team focused on AI and LLMs. Remote within the United States or Canada. You will prototype and deploy AI-powered features across the platform, building AI-driven analytics and workflows for threat researchers and analysts.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in software engineering, 2+ years in AI features, and strong Python skills. You’ll work with LangSmith and RAGAS to refine models and ensure secure, scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years building AI-powered user-facing features.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend and API services.
• Familiarity with RAG evaluation frameworks and designing regression tests for LLM pipelines.
• Ability to rapidly prototype, validate and refine AI features in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of prompt engineering to improve LLM accuracy and consistency.
• Experience deploying secure AI systems with guardrails and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Prototype and deploy AI-powered features to enhance search and recommendations.
• Apply ML to streamline workflows and surface critical insights.
• Develop and fine-tune LLMs and RAG pipelines for internet-scale data.
• Build, scale and maintain AI-driven analytics and automation systems.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and data teams to integrate AI experiences.
• Evaluate model performance with regression tests and LangSmith tooling.
