Job summary

Google LLC in Washington, DC is hiring an Associate Principal Launch Governance Analyst for Frontier Safety. You will lead governance for generative models, partnering with product, engineering, and research to embed safety into development lifecycles.

You will drive risk analyses, communicate findings to leaders, and scale workflows across teams to protect users and products at Google speed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in data analytics, Trust and Safety, policy, cybersecurity, or related fields.
• Master's degree or PhD in relevant field preferred.
• Experience with machine learning.
• Experience in SQL, building dashboards, data collection/transformation, visualization/dashboards, or scripting language (e.g., Python).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ability to influence cross-functionally at various levels.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and scale governance processes for new generative and agentic AI models and launches related to Frontier Safety.
• Act as a trusted partner to executive stakeholders with clear communications on complex trust and safety issues.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to embed safety processes into the model and product development lifecycle.
• Design and execute data analyses to identify risks, measure mitigations, and inform decisions.
• Optimize and scale operational workflows for improved efficiency and quality.
