Job summary

Via is launching AI Labs, an incubator-style team within the company to expand our reach with AI-powered solutions for cities. As a Senior Engineer, you will be a founding member, enjoying autonomy, direct access to leadership, and the backing of a company already at scale.

You will own end-to-end delivery from problem framing through deployment, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to ship impactful AI features at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience building full stack applications with end-to-end ownership.
• 3+ years of working with AI tools and/or building AI powered products.
• Deep expertise across the AI stack including LLMs, predictive modelling, and data infrastructure for real-world use.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship production-grade AI products end-to-end from problem framing to deployment.
• Collaborate with customers in a forward-deployed manner to understand problems and iterate on scalable AI solutions.
• Lead technical scoping workshops and interface with city leaders to solve local problems with agentic workflows.
