Job summary

Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Senior Technical Program Manager to steer complex, cross-functional programs behind AI accelerators Trainium and Inferentia, spanning silicon, hardware, software platforms and ML frameworks.

You will own end-to-end delivery, bring structure to ambiguity, align many teams, surface critical paths, and report status, risks, and decisions to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 8+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own the planning and end-to-end delivery of large, cross-functional programs spanning silicon, hardware, software platforms, and ML frameworks — defining scope, milestones, dependencies, and the critical path.
• Drive alignment across many teams and leaders; establish mechanisms (planning, status, risk reviews) that keep a complex program moving and transparent.
• Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; drive mitigations and force clarity on trade-offs before they become launch-blocking.
• Translate ambiguous, high-level goals into concrete plans with clear owners, dates, and success criteria.
• Communicate crisp status, risks, and decision asks to senior leadership; be the single source of truth for program health.
• Raise the bar on program management practices and mechanisms across the org, driving continuous improvement in how the team plans and executes.
