Hippocratic AI Inc. is seeking a backend-focused engineer to own scalable infrastructure powering hospital-grade AI agents. You will design backend systems, data pipelines, and APIs to support high-volume healthcare data and ML workloads in a production environment.

The role emphasizes building reliable, scalable infrastructure, collaborating with data scientists and ML engineers, and delivering production-ready features that accelerate AI capabilities in healthcare.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/CE (Master's preferred)
• 4+ years of backend development using Python, Golang or similar
• Experience building multi-modal data pipelines with Ray, Airflow or similar
• Familiarity with relational databases and RESTful APIs
• Basic understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Architect backend systems with 99.9%+ uptime for high-volume healthcare data and LLM processing
• Design data pipelines for large-scale, multi-modal datasets with low latency
• Develop APIs and microservices to improve model interaction and data retrieval
• Build and optimize infrastructure for data ingestion, feature extraction, and tagging workflows
