Alignerr is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a fully remote, flexible hourly contract based in Austin, TX or anywhere in Texas. You will design, build, and scale AI infrastructure used by millions, with autonomy and broad ownership of backend systems and data pipelines.

You will collaborate with ML researchers and product teams, write clean, scalable code in Python/TypeScript, and contribute to robust APIs, cloud deployments, and distributed services in a fast-moving environment.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in at least one modern language: Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, Java.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system design principles.
• Experience building and deploying backend services, APIs, or data-intensive applications.
• Comfortable with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems for AI-related pipelines.
• Write clean, well-tested, and performant code in Python, TypeScript, or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing delivery speed with long-term maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Work independently on well-scoped projects with ownership and autonomy.
