Job summary

Astreya is seeking an AI Infrastructure Datacenter Design Engineer Level 4 (Principal Engineer/Technical Lead) in California. You will lead large-scale data hall designs, set engineering standards, and govern complex infrastructure projects across multiple programs.

You will mentor senior engineers, review critical designs, and drive innovations in data-center architecture while collaborating with leadership on capacity planning and strategic roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge of data center infrastructure and architecture.
• 10+ years of industry experience with demonstrated technical leadership.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing large-scale infrastructure programs.
• Relevant certifications preferred (CCNA, PMP, Autodesk, ITIL, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale infrastructure design initiatives across multiple data halls or regions.
• Define and enforce engineering standards, design methodologies, and best practices.
• Provide technical leadership for upgrades, migrations, and expansions.
• Mentor senior engineers and lead knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Review and approve critical infrastructure designs and decisions.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement in data center design processes and technologies.
• Partner with leadership on capacity planning and strategic roadmap development.
• Manage high-priority escalations and provide expert-level troubleshooting.
• Support vendor evaluations and architecture governance processes.
