Job summary

Cockroach Labs is seeking a Senior Corporate Security Engineer to safeguard endpoints, cloud platforms, and enterprise SaaS. You will drive AI governance, data protection, and SaaS security, partnering across IT and security teams to balance business needs with risk controls.

You will lead cross-functional security initiatives, evolve governance and tooling, and own security projects from design through implementation in a hybrid NYC-area environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate security, security operations, IT security, or related field.
• Experience owning a security program, major initiative, or complex cross-functional project.
• Hands-on with DLP, CASB, or SaaS security tools, incl. policy tuning.
• Experience securing cloud-hosted apps and corporate IT environments.
• Knowledge of IAM, endpoints, email, file-sharing, networks, and enterprise SaaS.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage AI governance program сontrols for tools, agents, and data flows.
• Secure internal apps on GCP, incl. internal LLM gateway.
• Design and maintain DLP, data classification, and governance controls.
• Administer CASB and SaaS security controls across cloud apps.
• Assess security risks for internal apps, AI use cases, and third-party tools.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts across email, endpoints, SaaS, cloud.
