Job summary

Newell Brands is a leading consumer goods company with a global footprint and iconic brands. This role focuses on AI governance, information security governance, and governance reporting within the IS Risk & Resilience team.

The Senior Associate will manage AI risk assessments, policy development, and committee briefing materials, while helping embed IS governance across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, CS or related field.
• 2-4 years of IS governance, risk management or compliance experience.
• Familiarity with AI security governance frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of CIS CSC Top 18 and NIST CSF 2.0; PCI-DSS awareness is a plus.
• CRQ and FAIR methodology familiarity is preferred.
• Experience with major LLMs (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) and agentic AI tooling.
• Industry certifications (CGRC, CISM, AAIR, CISSP) are a plus.
• GRC tooling experience; familiarity with AuditBoard/Optro, ServiceNow GRC, OneTrust, Archer.
• Strong written and verbal communication for governance documentation.
• Self-motivated with a long-term information security governance focus.
• Power BI/Tableau reporting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute day-to-day AI governance activities: asset records, AI tool intake, and inventory.
• Conduct IS AI risk assessments per AI RMF, EU AI Act, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs.
• Develop AI governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Support IS Governance Manager and Director with AI governance committee briefs.
• Develop and deliver AI security governance awareness content.
