Job summary

NTT DATA Romania is seeking a Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer to design, build, integrate, and operate AI-enabled digital capabilities. You will cover frontend, backend, AI orchestration, data access, security, and production support.

You will collaborate with product, architecture, data and AI, cybersecurity, QA, DevOps, and business teams to deliver reliable solutions, applying guardrails and human oversight where needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including senior-level full-stack development.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React/Angular/Node.js).
• Experience building REST APIs, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, LLMs, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI workflow orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and design end-to-end AI-enabled solutions across frontend, backend, integrations, data, security, and operations.
• Develop and maintain user interfaces using React or Angular with strong state management and testing practices.
• Build backend services, APIs, and integrations using Node.js, Python, Java, Spring Boot, or similar technologies.
• Integrate AI/ML capabilities through model APIs, embeddings, vector search, RAG, and workflow orchestration.
• Design secure data ingestion, storage, retrieval, and transformation processes.
• Implement automated testing (unit, integration, E2E, regression) and AI-specific quality evaluations.
• Ensure security, privacy, observability, monitoring, and operational resilience of AI-powered applications.
