Job summary

Version 1 is seeking a highly skilled Senior/Staff AI Full Stack Engineer to join the AI products team. You will transform AI prototypes into production-grade products, designing end-to-end solutions from frontend interfaces to robust backend services and deployment pipelines.

You will collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and infrastructure engineers to ensure seamless AI feature integration, with a product-minded approach and a strong emphasis on reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in full stack development with a focus on AI-powered applications.
• Strong frontend skills with React (or Angular/Vue/Svelte).
• Experience building real-time streaming UIs using SSE or WebSockets.
• Backend development in Python with RESTful APIs (FastAPI or similar).
• Hands-on CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, Terraform, Docker, and testing.
• Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL, Databricks, and Redis.
• Extensive AWS usage: EC2, EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, CloudWatch.
• Security best practices: OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, RBAC, secrets management.
• Excellent communication to explain complex tech to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop full stack AI-powered applications using Galaxy's platform components.
• Build responsive frontends in React with engaging AI-driven features.
• Develop backend services interfacing with large language models and data sources.
• Design data layers using PostgreSQL, Databricks, Redis for performance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering to production-grade AI solutions.
• Implement CI/CD with Kubernetes and Terraform for reliable deployments.
• Ensure observability with logging, metrics, tracing, and alerts.
• Advise teams on architecture and reusable patterns for AI prototypes.
• Review prototype architectures and improve production readiness.
• Work with AI Tech to stay updated on Bedrock capabilities and roadmap.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate problems into AI features.
• Mentor engineers on full stack best practices and innovation.
