Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 4 for AI Foundations and VLM customization in San Jose. You will partner with engineers, researchers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered products and oversee foundation model training, inference, and governance.

You will optimize performance, latency, and observability in production AI systems. You should have a strong engineering/math foundation, 4+ years of AI/ML experience, and proficiency in Python and other languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields plus at least 4 years of experience developing AI and ML algorithms or technologies, or a Master's degree plus at least 2 years of experience
• At least 4 years of experience programming with Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java
