Job summary

Deltek, Inc. in Herndon, VA seeks a Senior Software Developer to lead AI-first engineering across Costpoint extensions and ERP integrations. You will own technical delivery, mentor others, and deliver scalable, high-performance solutions.

You will build client-specific customizations, reusable components, and AI-enabled tooling while collaborating with global teams and adhering to release processes.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of development experience with technical leadership and solution delivery.
• US Citizenship required for this position.
• Solid Costpoint extensibility and integration experience (designer, WIC, stored procedures, or Java).
• Familiarity with hook-based and event-driven plugin patterns in Costpoint.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs/generative AI in production systems (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI).
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, .NET, CI/CD, Serverless and AI/LLM stack.
• Experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL Server T-SQL, cross-database SQL.
• Experience with RESTful and SOAP API development and integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop client-specific customizations for global accounts using Java ERP extensions and batch processing across modules.
• Build reusable code components and pattern libraries for cross-product deployment.
• Drive AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality.
• Mentor developers in AI skills, prompt engineering, and responsible AI use.
• Document client requirements and patterns for future engagements.
• Collaborate with a global team including consultants, project managers, and cloud ops.
• Follow centralized release management and peer code reviews.
