Job summary

Prophetic Software is hiring a software engineer to build end-to-end features for a platform used by homebuilders and developers across all 50 states. You will own features from database to UI and ship code that supports million-dollar land decisions.

You will work with Python and TypeScript/React in a fast-paced startup, emphasizing AI tooling, CI/CD, and product ownership. Hybrid/remote options available with a Portland, OR footprint.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python and TypeScript/React.
• Strong experience with relational databases and RESTful API design.
• Comfort with full-stack development from backend endpoints to frontend components.
• Experience shipping features in production with CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort with AI development tooling and a fast-paced startup environment.
• Nice to have: geospatial data, cloud platforms, and real estate/proptech background.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features across core platform.
• Design and optimize database schemas for geospatial queries.
• Write production-quality code deployed via CI/CD.
• Collaborate with product, design, and account management to translate customer needs into features.
• Use AI tooling daily as part of the development workflow; participate in code reviews and architecture discussions.
