Prophetic Software in Portland, OR is seeking a software engineer to scale an AI-native platform used by homebuilders and developers across the US. You’ll own features end-to-end, from database to UI, and ship code that empowers million-dollar land decisions.

Join a fast-growing CTO-led team that values ownership, collaboration, and rapid iteration. You’ll work with Python, TypeScript/React, and AI tooling in a modern CI/CD workflow across a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with Python and TypeScript/React.
• Strong experience with relational databases and RESTful API design.
• Comfort working across the full stack - backend endpoint and frontend component.
• Experience shipping features in production with CI/CD pipelines.
• Comfort with AI development tooling.
• Strong sense of product ownership in a fast-paced startup.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship full-stack features across our core platform using modern backend and frontend frameworks.
• Design and optimize database schemas for geospatial queries across large datasets.
• Write production-quality code that deploys through our CI/CD pipeline.
• Collaborate with product, design, and account management to translate customer needs into shipped features.
• Use AI tooling as part of your daily development workflow.
• AI-first. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and on-call rotation.
