Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer III in AI & Engineering/Software as a Service to build scalable, cloud-native software and agentic AI solutions. You will mentor engineers, lead distributed teams, and collaborate with product, design, and DevOps to deliver high-impact features.

The role demands extensive full-stack experience, strong cloud and API design skills, and the ability to travel up to 50%. A background in agentic AI frameworks and modern SDLC practices will be valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience in a hands-on development role.
• 5+ years of full-stack software development with proficiency in a back-end language and a modern front-end framework.
• 4+ years building microservices and scalable APIs in a distributed, enterprise environment.
• Relational and/or NoSQL databases experience.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized environments.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Proven track record leading delivery teams and coordinating across time zones.
• Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and potential immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable full-stack software systems.
• Design and operationalize RESTful and asynchronous APIs on cloud-native infrastructure.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex features from requirements through deployment.
• Architect and deliver agentic AI applications using frameworks like LangChain and LangGraph.
• Conduct code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with Product/DevOps/QA.
• Identify technical debt and drive refactoring and improvements.
• Participate in system design discussions and architecture reviews.
• Troubleshoot performance and reliability issues in production.
• Contribute to hiring processes including interviews and assessments.
