Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Software Engineer III in Jacksonville, FL to architect, build, and ship scalable AI-enabled software across cloud-native platforms. You will mentor engineers, lead delivery of complex features, and collaborate with product, design, DevOps, and QA to drive innovation.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in hands-on full-stack development, strong back-end skills, and experience with microservices, cloud platforms, and AI tooling like LangChain. Travel up to 50% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of consulting or industry experience in hands-on development across borders.
• 5+ years of full-stack development with at least one backend language and a modern frontend framework.
• 4+ years building microservices and scalable APIs in a distributed enterprise env.
• Solid knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ability to travel up to 50% based on client needs and engagements.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and implement scalable, reliable full-stack systems.
• Design and operate RESTful and asynchronous APIs on cloud-native infra; CI/CD and IaC.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex features from requirements to deployment.
• Deliver production-grade agentic AI and multi-agent apps using LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, etc.
• Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards across teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster learning and improvement.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, DevOps, and QA to ship quality software.
• Identify tech debt and drive refactoring and improvements.
• Participate in system design reviews and architectural planning.
• Troubleshoot performance, scalability, and reliability issues in production.
