Amazon’s AWS AI Engineering team is seeking a Senior Manager of AI Engineering to lead a high-performing team of customer-facing AI engineers and architects. The role focuses on guiding AI strategy with Fortune 500 executives, shaping production AI deployments, and advancing the field through leadership and scalable enablement programs.

You will bridge deep technical decisions with executive discussions, earning trust from engineers and service teams alike.

Qualifications

10+ years of engineering experience.
5+ years of engineering team management experience.
10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience.
Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

Hire, develop, and retain a world-class team of Applied AI Architects.
Set the technical vision and strategic direction for the Applied AI Architecture practice worldwide.
Serve as executive sponsor to strategic customers at C-level tech discussions.
Build and maintain relationships with AWS service and product teams to influence roadmap.
Drive Thought Leadership through publications, frameworks, and speaking engagements.
Create scalable programs and enablement assets to scale AI engagements.
Navigate ambiguity and make directional decisions in a fast-moving domain.
Represent the voice of the customer to inform strategy and investment.
