Job summary

Teradata is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to contribute to internal AI initiatives, designing scalable agent-based solutions that boost developer productivity. You’ll work with AI agents, LLMs, and cloud-native stacks, collaborating across platform, product, and engineering teams to shape Teradata’s AI platform roadmap.

You will design and build high-quality systems, mentor engineers, and drive end-to-end features while staying current with AI trends and best practices in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend or data platform development experience.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or Python for service development.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and data models.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Build and integrate robust RESTful APIs, ensure security and data consistency.
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases for data modeling.
• Apply and experiment with AI/ML technologies, including agentic AI and LLMs.
• Mentor engineers in design, planning and best practices.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in code, design, and infra.
• Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
• Investigate production issues and provide timely solutions.
• Stay current with AI, ML, and cloud-native tech trends.
