Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience training or fine-tuning language models.
• Hands-on reinforcement learning end-to-end experience.
• Ability to translate complex documentation into precise specifications.
• Experience with healthcare data or regulated environments is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Capture specialized knowledge from domain experts and model it.
• Analyze datasets for quality, coverage, and issues with stakeholders.
• Perform exploratory and statistical analysis to inform decisions.
• Create and curate training and evaluation datasets with validation.
• Design RL environments, reward functions, and verifiers.
• Train and fine-tune language models using supervised and RL methods.
• Establish baselines, run ablations, diagnose training issues.
• Follow literature and translate techniques into practice.
• Manage experiments with versioning, tracking, and budgeting.
• Design evaluation frameworks, metrics, and benchmarks.
• Compare models via structured experiments and A/B testing.
• Document results and next steps clearly for stakeholders.
• Present findings to engineers and business leaders.
