Qualifications

• Hands-on experience training or fine-tuning language models.
• Experience designing RL environments and reward functions end-to-end.
• Strong Python and PyTorch, with Hugging Face ecosystem proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Capture domain knowledge into structured representations.
• Analyze datasets for quality and coverage, coordinate with stakeholders.
• Perform exploratory and statistical analysis to guide modeling decisions.
• Create and curate training/evaluation datasets with automated and human validation.
• Design RL environments, reward functions, and verifiers.
• Train and fine-tune language models using supervised and RL methods (PPO, DPO, GRPO).
• Set baselines, run ablations, diagnose training issues like reward hacking or data leakage.
• Follow literature and bring techniques into practice.
• Manage experiments with versioning, reproducibility, and budgeting.
• Document results and next steps; present findings to engineers and business leaders.
