Job summary

Unity Technologies in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the development of agentic AI systems within the Unity engine, enabling smarter NPCs and dynamic simulations for games and simulations.

You’ll drive reinforcement learning, AI planning, and multi-agent strategies, build reusable frameworks, and collaborate with teams to unlock innovative use cases across gaming and interactive storytelling.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent practical experience in CS/ML.
• 5+ years building ML systems in production, preferably real-time or interactive.
• Strong background in RL, AI planning, or multi-agent systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale agentic AI systems within Unity.
• Develop reusable agentic frameworks for planners and memory.
• Integrate ML models within real-time engine constraints.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate cross-functionally.
