Colossus Technologies Group is partnering with an early-stage AI security startup to hire a Senior AI Engineer to help build the next generation of production AI agents.

This is an opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team where AI is the core product—not an add-on feature. The team is building autonomous AI systems that solve complex security problems in production, with a strong emphasis on engineering quality, agent reliability, and scalable backend architecture.

We're looking for engineers who have gone beyond experimenting with LLMs and have real experience building production AI applications, agentic workflows, or AI infrastructure.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and deploy production AI agents using Python and modern AI frameworks.
• Build agentic workflows capable of reasoning, tool use, orchestration, and autonomous decision-making.
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure agent performance, identify failure modes, and improve reliability.
• Build backend services and APIs that power AI systems at scale.
• Improve observability, testing, and guardrails for production AI applications.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to define the architecture of AI‑first products from the ground up.
• Contribute across the stack while helping shape the technical direction of the platform.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, distributed systems, and software design.
• Experience building production AI applications, AI agents, or agentic workflows.
• Experience with LLM orchestration, tool calling, MCP, RAG, or modern AI frameworks.
• Experience evaluating AI systems and improving agent performance, reliability, and resilience.
• Experience building scalable backend services and APIs.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup where engineers own features from design through production.

Nice to Have

• Machine Learning or Data Science background with strong software engineering experience.
• Experience building or evaluating ML models.
• Experience with vector databases, model evaluation, prompt engineering, or AI observability.
