Job summary

Brightmine is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II in Oklahoma City to design and deliver production AI systems, including agentic workflows, LLM-powered pipelines, and RAG, plus structured extraction services for multiple business units.

You will own features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into measurable AI solutions while applying strong CI/CD, security, and performance practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years software experience
• 2+ years shipping LLM/ML to production
• BS in Engineering/CS or equivalent
• End-to-end ownership of AI features
• Proficiency in TS/Node.js and/or Python
• Experience with LLM platforms and APIs
• Experience building RAG pipelines
• Understanding of schema-driven extraction
• Experience with evaluation frameworks
• Strong SQL and relational/vector storage
• Cloud experience with AWS/Azure; containerized deployment

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy production AI systems
• Interface with stakeholders to scope use cases and metrics
• Write technical specs and architecture documents
• Build and maintain evaluation harnesses and baselines
• Implement responsible AI practices and auditing
• Own cost and performance of LLM workloads
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines across AWS and Azure
• Operate in Agile environments
• Mentor junior engineers in AI system design
