Job summary

3Pillar is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy scalable AI agents that automate critical business processes. You will mentor junior engineers, evaluate model architectures, and ensure governance and ethical considerations as you work with Claude and other LLM tools.

You will own end-to-end agent pipelines, integrate with Snowflake and popular business systems, and operate in a remote-first, globally distributed team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field.
• 4-7 years in software or data engineering, with at least 2 years focused on LLM and agent systems in production.
• Experience building AI agents that run in production.
• Strong Python skills, API design (FastAPI) and data pipelines.
• Experience with LLM APIs and agent frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, LangGraph, LangChain, or LlamaIndex.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and run AI agents that automate business processes across Finance, Partners and Services, Support and beyond.
• Lead the design and implementation of scalable AI systems and provide mentorship to junior team members.
• Evaluate model architectures, explore cutting-edge techniques and ensure ethical and governance standards.
• Connect agents to data via Snowflake and source systems like NetSuite, Salesforce, Zendesk, Asana and PlanHat.
• Deploy and operate agents on AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, Step Functions) with logging, cost tracking and monitoring.
