Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a hands-on AI Developer to join our Enterprise AI team in Houston. You will design, build, deploy, and refine AI solutions using Python and/or .NET, working with Databricks, Azure, and Copilot Studio to ship production systems.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, rapid prototyping, rigorous testing, and collaboration with AI engineers and business analysts in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience with relevant job experience.
• Production experience building systems with Python or .NET (proficiency in both is a strong plus).
• Strong knowledge of cloud services and architecture patterns - Azure preferred (or AWS/GCP with ramp on Azure).
• Hands-on experience building RAG pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents using Copilot Studio or Semantic Kernel or similar frameworks.
• Experience with at least two: Azure AI Search, vector databases, semantic search, agentic AI, or SQL on large-scale data.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain AI solutions using Python and/or .NET.
• Build AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio or Semantic Kernel Agent Framework.
• Build and optimize cloud-native applications on Azure.
• Work with large-scale data in Databricks.
• Collaborate with AI engineers and business analysts to productionize ideas.
• Evaluate model performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency.
• Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Prototype quickly, test rigorously, and iterate.
