Job summary

Howden is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for its US AI Engineering team, building production AI agents on Azure and integrating with Azure OpenAI, Foundry, and Bot Framework. You will own end-to-end implementation, including Terraform, CI/CD, telemetry, and cost controls, with responsibility from design to production rollout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 5+ years in software engineering, incl. 2+ years shipping AI/ML to production.
• Strong coding in Python; working proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript and .NET (C#).

Responsibilities

• Build production AI agents and solutions on Azure.
• Develop RESTful and event-driven APIs for AI capabilities.
• Write Terraform and CI/CD pipelines; ensure tests and telemetry.
• Collaborate with AI Lead and architects on design choices.
• Provide production-grade observability and runbooks.
