Job summary

The Lead AI Engineer at CFA Institute is a senior individual contributor responsible for designing, building, and delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions. You will partner with Product, Data, Security, and business colleagues to translate needs into scalable, secure AI capabilities and mentor less-experienced engineers.

This role may be based in eligible US jurisdictions and reports to the Senior Director, AI Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, AI, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in software, data, or AI engineering.
• Experience delivering production-grade AI/ML solutions in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and delivery of production-grade AI/ML capabilities.
• Serve as a technical SME in AI engineering, solving complex design and performance problems.
• Deliver medium-sized AI engineering projects and manage scope, schedule, and budget where assigned.
• Apply engineering best practices including MLOps, CI/CD for models, testing, observability, and secure development.
