Job summary
Alvarez & Marsal is seeking an AI Engineering Lead and Architect to serve as the Product Owner's principal technical counterpart. You will own the Intelligence Layer's architecture, direct engineers and partners, and translate product decisions into secure production systems on an ambitious timeline.
The role requires deep hands-on expertise in knowledge graphs (Neo4j/Cypher), Python, and enterprise AI integrations, along with strong leadership for a small team and delivery partners.
Qualifications
- Seasoned software engineer with architectural leadership experience.
- Hands-on knowledge of knowledge graphs, Neo4j, and Cypher.
- Strong Python development and API design skills.
- Experience with enterprise AI integrations and MCP servers.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical architecture and engineering roadmap for the Intelligence Layer.
- Test approaches, explain tradeoffs, and translate decisions into actionable direction.
- Direct engineers and partners, set priorities, and ensure milestones are met.
- Create architecture diagrams, data-flow docs, and technical decision records.
- Design knowledge graph schemas and retrieval patterns with graph tech.
- Write production code in Python and contribute to frontend when needed.
- Architect integration of structured/unstructured data with governance.
