Job summary

Apperture Solutions, a technology independent consulting and implementation firm, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy secure AI solutions for industrial ops. You will translate manufacturing requirements into practical, scalable AI products across edge, cloud, and hybrid environments.

You will lead production-grade AI apps (LLM agents, RAG, copilots), collaborate with OT/IT, and ensure secure deployment with CI/CD, monitoring, and governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in AI/ML, software engineering, or data science with ownership of production solutions.
• Experience taking AI/ML capability from definition to deployment with monitoring and support.
• Experience with Git, code reviews, automated testing, and agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and delivery of production-grade AI applications (LLM agents, RAG, workflow copilots).
• Translate workflows and constraints into technical solutions with cross-functional teams.
• Design agent architectures using LangChain/LangGraph with supervision patterns and MCP interfaces.
• Develop enterprise retrieval solutions using embeddings, vector stores, and knowledge graphs.
• Use AI-assisted development tools with evaluation datasets, tests, guardrails, and monitoring.
• Design data products routing requests across edge data, time-series, and lakehouse data.
• Integrate AI with OPC UA, MQTT/Sparkplug B, Unified Namespace, SCADA/DCS, Power BI, SharePoint.
• Collaborate on data contracts, validation, streaming with Azure/Event Hubs, Databricks, ADLS Gen2.
• Package/operate solutions as secure containerized services; contribute to CI/CD and observability.
• Frame problems, compare approaches, and advance concepts to production-ready systems.
• Document architecture and decisions; mentor and handoff to teams.
