Job summary

ICF is seeking an AI Engineer to design and operationalize NLP, GenAI, and ML capabilities across a cloud-based data platform. You will build reusable AI/ML solutions, model deployment frameworks, and human-in-the-loop workflows for large federal programs.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required for federal contract work.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master’s may substitute for 2 years of experience.
• 6+ years designing, developing, and deploying AI/ML in enterprise cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop NLP, prompt orchestration, guardrails, and human-in-the-loop workflows using approved AI/ML tools.
• Translate unstructured data use cases into repeatable technical patterns addressing privacy, provenance, evaluation, and integration.
• Collaborate with Trustworthy AI, Security, Data Governance, and Customer Experience teams to ensure safe, useful AI capabilities.
• Apply NLP, GenAI patterns, and Azure AI to support role delivery.
• Coordinate with product, engineering, security, governance, and business stakeholders as needed.
• Document work products, decisions, risks, and delivery evidence for traceability.
