Job summary

Capital One is seeking an AI Engineer 4 to join the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences team in Cambridge, MA, with additional roles in McLean, VA, New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, and San Jose, CA. You will design and deploy AI-powered products, optimize model inference pipelines, and contribute to governance and observability across large-scale systems.

The role requires strong software engineering, ML expertise, and experience delivering scalable AI solutions on cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field with years of AI/ML experience.
• 4+ years coding in Python/Go/Scala/CUDA/Java and building AI systems.
• Experience designing scalable, production-ready AI software.
• Strong collaboration across engineers, PMs and researchers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components.
• Work with foundation model training, inference, and governance.
• Optimize systems for latency, throughput and cost at scale.
• Mentor associates on scalable design and production translation.
